Acapulco Beach Club Hotel Review - 79 of 127 Reviews

I honestly could not give this hotel more than three stars - and I truly do not know how it is rated 5*........

Although we requested a no smoking room and sea view our room smelled of cigarettes and we were told we would have to pay three times more to change to a different no smoking room with a better sea view......

I did have difficulty to check in after my fiancee arrived before me and checked in........

I did not know the hotel room we were assigned as his phone had no signal and the hotel reception would only speak to him.......

I was treated very rudely - like I did not exist......

This hotel only values Turkish people - not other nationalities ......

All staff are Turkish and speak only limited English........

The gym is very basic with only a couple of machines and the pool is dirty with phlegm spit in the water........ I do not think the indoor pool is ever cleaned........

This was unfortunate as the sea was too cold to swim in when we were there.......

The food is mostly inedible and there is no option to order anything other than what is on the buffet......

The breakfast buffet is much better than dinner......

And the desserts much better than the main course dishes.......

The position of the hotel location is fantastic and also the beach ........

Otherwise there really is nothing to give this hotel any rating at all......

No warning was given that works would be going on in - building a new wing to the main hotel and also relaying of the driveway outside leading to the car park.......

That necessitated the road to be dug up for days.........

The only fish given throughout our stay was grouper which was smelly - until the last night when there was grilled seabass which was at least edible...... the fish was farmed and I think previously frozen that did affect the taste - but at least better than the smelly grouper fish........

My boyfriend driving licence was kept by the reception without telling him which we had thought was lost - until we asked them if anyone had found it in the hotel and the licence was given back at checkout.........

The bar is very expensive and you have to pay to play billiards.......

There is no table tennis and the nightclub is in the process of being built........

The taxi transfer fare paid in advance of £45 each way to the agent was around double the price it would have cost if ordered locally - which was a ripoff and definitely not something we would advise any other holiday makers to arrange.........

The hotel guest rooms were given a very basic quick clean and the bathroom floor was never cleaned throughout our stay..... Basic toiletries were provided in the guest rooms.......

All around our room there were smokers and we could not open the balcony door because of the smell of cigarettes all around us that polluted the air and made us feel ill........
