Acapulco Beach Club Hotel Review - 7 of 127 Reviews

All things considered, I would not recommend this hotel. Sure, the beach is nice, but you pay an exorbitant price for a bottle of water. All of the drinks in the complex are too expensive, and they don't let you bring in your own drinks from outside the hotel. I can understand this ok when it comes to making money in their bar from alcohol, but when it is so hot; it is just a rip off to make guests pay so much for water. There wasn't even any water provided for free with dinner. I was on holiday with my boyfriend and another couple, and although the pool area was huge and the beach was nice, there wasn't a whole lot else to do. We made the most of a quiet, relaxing holiday and us girls went for a nice massage at the spa, but the guys got bored fast. The bar area was really hot, as if it had no air conditioning, and with the drinks so expensive, we got quite frustrated in the evenings. The staff didn't help matters, as there was no rapport or effort made to make us feel welcome or relaxed. We were disappointed, as this hotel looks really nice – it just fails to deliver. The grounds and the beach and the bar areas all look nice, but without friendly staff it all falls flat. The intimidating guards at the gates don't help matters either. This hotel is definitely designed for children and families, who want to take advantage of the cool slides and the nice sandy beach, and don't mind shelling out unlimited amounts of cash on plenty of drinks, but anyone else will struggle to enjoy their holiday.
