Acapulco Beach Club Hotel Review - 68 of 127 Reviews

We are a family of 3 (our daughter is 1 years old), we stayed at this hotel for 9 nights and we loved every minute of it. My parents and younger brother also stayed at the same time as us and we all really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in Pine court (the new building), which was was lovely. The rooms are spacious and well decorated and most importantly clean. We lost our daughters toy and were on the floor looking under beds and there was no dirt or build up of dust at all. The only tiny negative of the room was that a bathroom tile was missing by the door but other than that the rooms were beautifully turned out and cleaned every day.

The food selection was great, they were always topping up the trays and it was all very clean.

With regards to facilites we only used the swimming pools, but these were always clean and because of the time of year there were always plenty of sun loungers available. The beach is great too, again with lots of sunloungers and the sand is smooth (no stones). I would recommend that you bring your own beach towels, the hotel do provide towels but they aren't very big.

They had plenty to keep children entertained and a lovely playroom for smaller children in Pine Court. It was a great place to spend some time with my daughter out of the midday sun without being confined to our room.

With regards to its rating, yes it is a 5*, but do not expect the service to be the 5* of USA or London standards. The service is good and the staff are polite, but can be a bit slow at times.

Lastly, if you are new to Cyprus and want to do a lot of sight seeing and are not in the position to hire a car or travel by bus/taxi then be aware that this hotel is a little bit far from the centre of Kyrenia. We hired a car and it used to take us at least 10 minutes by car to get to central Kyrenia. You can't walk anywhere from the hotel, there is a shuttle service but never used it.

I am the first person to point out each and every little fault with a hotel and if standards are not to my satisfaction I leave (I have family I can stay with in Cyprus), however I would most certainly stay at this hotel again and I would recommend to friends and family.
