Acapulco Beach Club Hotel Review - 66 of 127 Reviews

I booked this so called 5 star hotel from internet for 3 nights full board in late December with my wife and 4 years old daughter. The hotel is advertised as 5 star. However, generally it looks like a 4 star hotel. The day we checked in, the bathtub did not have a plug. So we had to ask for it. The bathtub shower splash shields had black mold at various places. The condition of the bathroom is the type you would not expect from a 5 star hotel. The indoor swimming pool wall paint and render was falling off and the ceiling had various rusted places. Our last night in the hotel, we ate our dinner and my wife got some desert. While she was eating it, she said something just cut her tongue and pulled out a 2 cm long sharp class. We were shocked and also relieved that out daughter did not try to eat that desert. I called one of the staff showed the glass and asked for an explanation. Guess what, he said he would talk the chef. He did not look shocked and he did not even say sorry for this incident. To my surprise he did not even had an apologetic look. My wife insisted on making complaint at the reception. So went to the reception. Someone came, we explained what had just happened and the treatment we got was not acceptable. We were told he will chase this matter. I never saw him again and we are still waiting for that apology. I had my laptop with me but could not use the internet because we had to pay for the wiFi access. We were told that internet was not free. We go North Cyprus regularly but we will not stay in this hotel ever again.
