This is a hotel review for Acapulco Beach Club Hotel in Kyrenia, North Cyprus
“Definitely not a 5 star hotel, standards have dropped”
It's such a great shame about this hotel as the land it sits on is a gem, great beach, plently of land, but poor service and certainly over priced. We have stayed many times and every time the standards were getting worse.
Staff attitude is dreadful, from the very first moment we set foot into our room, problems started. Our room, which had been prepared for us, smelt of smoke and nothing was done about this despite us complaining. My husband had to wait 45mins for towels to be brought to the room, although he was promised that he would be provided these immediately. Our air condition was leaking and creating a large puddle in the room, again nothing was done. Only after complaining to one of the nicer members of staff was something done, but still the problems were not resolved. There is obviously a management of staff problem, maybe the staff are not being paid enough or being trained???
Toilet paper was never replaced and the mini bar items were not replaced.
We also found out that although we were refused stay on a full board basis that locals were offered this.
Our guests visiting us at the resort were interrogated and were asked to pay 20 Lira although they were not going use the beach facilities.
Lunch prices are extortionate. All round we feel ripped off and will not be staying here again.
