I booked up for a two week trip away to Kyrenia after not getting chance to enjoy Christmas much due to a heavy work load, so this was an early holiday for 2010. I travelled with my wife and our small daughter (6 years old) and decided a bungalow suited our needs best. When we arrived the sun was shining and the surroundings really did look great. A nice view, some lovely gardens which were tended to well and a really attractive beach and coastline nearby. What more could we have wanted considering we'd never visited before. Our accommodation was very clean and obviously the standards of upkeep here were quite good. Normally you'd find something broken or needing fixing, but not here this time. It was clean, had a lot of room and felt quite comfortable too.

As for the staff, they were pleasant and friendly. Some hotels dont have a very personal feel but certainly here it felt as though we were very welcome and we got talking to some of the staff regularly. It was a nice change to some of the cold business like hotels I've stayed in before. A personal touch makes all the difference I think. They had a lady who was there to answer any tourist related questions, I think she was a relations representative or something similar to that. She proved very helpful on many occasions when we couldn't decide where to visit in the daytime.

Having a child with us, it suited us to stay in the hotel for food, knowing that there was always going to be a choice of things that the little one would actually eat. The food itself was quite varied for a hotel like this and the quality was good too. We certainly couldn't have complained! I'm normally quite concerned by hygiene in tourist places, but I was comfortable here as it seemed really clean. We spent most evenings here to eat and didnt have a dull meal for the whole trip. We found a good way to explore was to use the local bus which was really tidy and had all the mod cons such as air conditioning, for the times when it gets too warm. I'd like to visit again, maybe at a time when the little one is a bit older and can enjoy the beach and pools a bit more.
