Vouni Palace Hotel Review - 9 of 22 Reviews

My boyfriend and I visited north cyprus for the second time and stayed at the Vouni Palace recently. I was very impressed with the atmosphere of the hotel, as well as the service. Both were great! The outside of the hotel caused a little bit of disappointment at first, as it looks rather square and non-distinct. However, when you walk in the door, be prepared to be awed! The opulence of the décor took my breath away. The styling is very modern and chic – nothing vintage here, thank goodness. The floors and surfaces are polished to a high shine and everything is sparkling and pretty. We were just as impressed with the décor in our room. Obviously they keep the furnishings updated regularly here. The only downside to the room was that it was a little small, but we did have a good-sized balcony with a great view of the sea, so that was one advantage this place has over other hotels in the area.

We were just as impressed with the service as we were with the Vouni Palace hotel's atmosphere. The staff really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The dining room waiters were attentive, as were the bartenders. The only downside to the service was that the staff often seemed a little rushed, but we understand that the place was packed the week we were there, so that's probably why. The only thing I'd suggest is that they hire a few extra waiters to fill in during busy weeks. Seems it would take some of the stress off the others.

And speaking of food, we very much enjoyed the food in the hotel's dining room. We ate almost every meal at the hotel and we never got bored with the selections. Breakfasts were delicious and so were the dinners. The buffets were always appetizing and had lots of selections. We ate most of our lunches poolside at the outside bar, which also serves food. The pool bar's food was more like bar & grill type food and it was tasty enough, if not quite as good as the dining room's food. Still, it was enjoyable and we were happy to have the option of eating poolside while in our swimsuits. We did feel that the wine offered at dinner was a bit overpriced, so we stuck to soft drinks at dinner and adjourned to a nearby bar for after-dinner drinks instead of having our drinks with dinner.

Overall, we loved the Vouni Palace hotel and loved the north cyprus location. I hope to stay here again in the future.
