Riverside Holiday Village Review - 3 of 30 Reviews

This was our first trip as a family to North Cyprus and we did not know quite what to expect, but we had a wonderful time. We stayed in a beautiful villa right next to the Aqua Park and the children had a ball. This is a wonderful resort, and I cannot praise it highly enough. Our three-bedroom villa had loads of space for us all. The furniture was modern and new and had loads of storage space and a well-fitted kitchen which is ideal with children. Self-catering saved us a fortune, especially on soft drinks and ice creams, which we could not have afforded at hotel prices.

This resort really was as good as it looked in the brochure. I think being a family-run resort, the staff really cared and made our stay so wonderful. The kids were able to play safely with their friends in the fun pool at the Aqua park and we were able to just relax and enjoy ourselves too. I was surprised that we had to pay a small amount to use the gym equipment and the sauna, but it did keep those facilities fairly quiet.

You really don't need a hire car staying here. We took the shuttle bus down to the beach a number of times which was very convenient and the beach was gorgeous. We also took the free bus into the local town, Kyrenia, to go shopping. There were loads of trips and tours available from the hotel and other guests went diving and paragliding. We went to the turtle farm which the children loved. We had one of the best family holidays ever at the Riverside, and have already booked for next year, along with my parents!
