Hi all, I would'nt normally take the time to complete reviews of my holiday destination but I felt this time it was only fair to share the experience for others to benefit from. I went to Northern Cyprus last month to visit relatives who have invited me over for the past 10 years! I called up a company called GoNorthCyprus and met a really cheerful woman called Sue who talked me through my requirements and arrangements. She helped me pick the hotel and I ended up at the Pia Bella Hotel, which turned out to be really cheap, so I didnt expect too much.

The Pia Bella is quite basic to be honest, but that's to be expected at such a low price. It was clean though, and all of the staff there were friendly and quick to help out when I had any special requirements. The rooms were also fairly basic, but at least they were cleaned thoroughly before and during our stay so I always had a nice place to come back to after the day's activities.

The food wasn't amazing but neither could you complain though. I ate in the hotel the first night only, and with my friends in the local town the rest. Service was okay though, and drinks weren't too expensive I suppose. We would definitely suggest going out to eat, because we found some brilliant local restaurants that served fish as a speciality (my favourite!).

The location of the hotel is pretty much perfect if you want to do some sight-seeing like I did. I was surprised at how much North Cyprus had to offer in terms of tourist attractions and I got lots of use out of the taxis at the rank near the hotel. My average journey (there and back) cost about twenty pounds (GBP) which is pretty much what we'd expected.

I would stay at the Pia Bella again, but it's not really for special occasions or anything, just a nice budget hotel with a friendly feel to it.
