This is a hotel review for Life Hotel in Kyrenia, North Cyprus

“A very basic hotel”

When my 2 friends and I booked a last minute holiday to North Cyprus, we wanted to make sure that we stayed in the heart of a town. We didn't want the hassle of travelling anywhere and wanted to be close to the shops, bars and restaurants. This is why the Life Hotel, Kyrenia, suited us perfectly.

We managed to get ourselves a family room so that we could all stay together. It was a really decent size with good facilities, including Internet access. The only thing we weren't too impressed with was the quality of its finish. It was clear that it hadn't been decorated in a long time so some things were past their best. It all seemed a bit dated and the shower had ground in dirt that could no longer be cleaned off.

The breakfast at the Life Hotel was adequate. To be honest, early mornings after late nights meant that we weren't all that hungry anyway. We didn't eat at the hotel at any other time because the menu seemed mostly traditional and one of us (not myself) is very fussy when it comes to trying new food. Also, we wanted to get out and about as much as possible so found ourselves away from the hotel at meal times. We all had a bit of a giggle at the very small hotel bar- there are definitely better places in Kyrenia to spend your time!

The staff at the hotel were friendly. We didn't really have any big requests for them but when we asked about good places to visit or for directions, they were very helpful.

I don't want to be over critical of the Life Hotel because it was a reasonable price. Also, its location suited us perfectly. I think if we'd expected more, or wanted to spend more time there, we might have been more disappointed. I would only recommend it for people looking for accommodation at a low price. It might be ideal for business people travelling alone or for students travelling on a budget.
