When we looked at photos of Kemerli Konak Boutique Hotel on GoNorthCyprus.com, we were definitely surprised to find out it had only been built two years ago. It has the look and feel of a traditional Cypriot hotel, with stone walls, cast iron beds, authentic decor and so on. But it also has the amenities of a modern hotel, so it ticked both boxes for us!

If you're looking for a large high rise hotel with a spacious swimming pool, this isn't the hotel for you, but we loved its small and intimate atmosphere and picturesque views of the beautiful countryside.

We definitely recommend visiting the Archway Restaurant, which is conveniently located just next door, as the food here is second to none. It is often filled with locals, which is a testament to how tasty its traditional Cypriot food is. Our favourite was the meze platter, which allowed us to try several different dishes in one go. We were a bit worried about travelling in November, but the weather was beautiful and the restaurant had a fantastic log fire for nights that were a bit cooler.
