Jasmine Court Hotel Review - 4 of 18 Reviews

The Jasmine Court is a very friendly hotel despite its size, and our room was clean, comfortable and roomy enough for us all. Kids were amazed that most of the TV was in Turkish - not sure what they expected!

The major problems we had were with the air con and smelly drains. The hotel said it was now winter season so they turned the air con off, despite it being really hot for the time of year. The smell from the bathroom drains was unbearable, so the staff moved us to another room, with no fuss. This room was smell free but still warm at night.

The buffet restaurant was fun for the children who loved to pick their own food as as much as they wanted but for us adults it was a bit predictable. The fish restaurant was much better, with fresh cooked fish at reasonable prices. The children enjoyed the swimming pools and there were free towels, but not many staff and lots of people wanting drinks and ice creams...

The downside to the Jasmine is the number of Turkish (?) gamblers who arrived at the casino for the weekend and dominated the hotel, so we hired a car through reception and escaped for the day! Roads around Kyrenia are busy but OK to drive, but some of the mountain routes are a bit scary and not good if your children get car sick. Clean beaches in North Cyprus are hard to find, as we discovered the hard way.

For a half term break without hassle, the jasmine Court was just the ticket for our family.
