My friend and I stayed at the Malpas Hotel in August. It was fantastic. We booked the hotel because another friend's parents recommended it for our trip to Cyprus. We stayed for 5 days, and did not have any problems. The view from the hotel was magnificent and the food at the breakfast buffet always warm. The beer was the only thing we could afford to drink and there was a small language barrier. The pool area was perfect for relaxing and getting a summer tan. We spent most of our time at the beach or pool, though it was also close to other attractions.

As students we do have a strict budget, but it was worth paying for the nicer rooms and pool than other hotels we walked by. The hotel is more for older individuals or couples, but still it was a nice place to be for a little vacation. Too bad we couldn't afford the sea view! Instead we were looking out over the street, which was not as nice. Even the staff was very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to others. Another downside to the experience was the lack of people. The hotel was not very full even for the time of year we visited. It would have been nice to find some younger people around, who didn't mind a little fun. We did try the casino on the premises, but I had no luck! My roommate managed to win a few dollars.

Disliked — the prices of beverages outrageous!
