The Dome Hotel, the Grand Old Dame of Kyrenia is in the most favourable position possible. Near to the harbour and the centre of town, this once first class hotel has lost its way.

The building is rather tired and it's management is non existent. The idea of someone checking that things are working and are in good condition seems to bypass the thought process of the management. Room telephone that did not work, broken furniture, missing plugs, broken room safe to name but a few. I must however complement the staff for attending to things very quickly each time a fault was pointed out to them.

Breakfast restaurant food was very good and the staff friendly and helpful as were the staff on reception.

Poolside and sea rock pool service was good and efficient whilst the Anchor Restaurant offered a good choice of food and good service.

All in all I would say that a coat of paint and an attentive management would make The Dome a good 4 star hotel instead of what seems to me to be an average 3 star.
