Colony Hotel Review - 76 of 98 Reviews

I've just enjoyed a wonderful city break staying at the Colony Hotel in the heart of Kyrenia Town. It is fantastically located, near shops, cafes and the beautiful harbour side. I booked for my wife and me through www.gonorthcyprus.com and spoke to a really helpful travel agent called Mandy. She asked me for our requirements and then listed hotels which would match those. We chose the Colony Hotel and were so glad we did!

One of the best features of the hotel was its really efficient air conditioning. Everywhere in the hotel was so cool, which was ideal after walking the hot streets of Kyrenia. We also loved its rooftop pool- it was really unique and so relaxing to be able to swim with only the blue sky above us. There were also plenty of comfortable sun loungers.

Our hotel room at the Colony was really comfortable- the bed linen was soft but cool with it. The décor was clean and fresh and definitely to our taste.

My wife and I found nearly all of the staff at the Colony Hotel to be really friendly. The only exception was the slow service at the rooftop pool, although this wasn't a big deal.

The breakfast buffet had a good selection and the food was clearly freshly made each day (which is somewhat of a rarity for a lot of hotels these days.) The only downside was the fact that there was no variety from one day to another so by the end of the holiday we were just craving marmite on toast!

If we ever visit Kyrenia again we will definitely book into the Colony Hotel. Its location cannot be beaten and everything is presented at a high standard.
