Club Simena Review - 11 of 40 Reviews

Some of my girly friends and I decided to treat ourselves after Christmas to beat the January blues. We didn't have a very large budget and were after peace and relaxation. The Club Simena hotel offered all of this and more!

We were delighted to be greeted in such a friendly manner by the obliging staff. In fact, we arrived near on midnight but felt very welcome to order an arrival cocktail or two!

The bungalows were spacious and impeccably clean. They were relatively basic but bright and well decorated. We didn't want or expect any more than that for our stay in North Cyprus

Generally the food at the hotel was of a good standard. The kitchen offered a variety of dishes, both traditional and more basic. We even ordered room service on one occasion and were very impressed with the speed of delivery! We did, however, decided to venture into Kyrenia most evenings where the choice of Northern Cyprus food was excellent. We sampled some very good local dishes and had some really chilled out long dinners overlooking the harbour. During the day we spent most of our time walking around Kyrenia, browsing the shops or looking at the historic sights. Although the hotel was quite a distance, we found the bus very easy to use and it arrived by the hotel frequently. We did also venture out to a couple of beaches to soak up the views. Some were a little dirty which was disappointing but we put it down to it not being peak season.

Overall our stay at the Club Simena was perfect for what we wanted. It was clean, comfortable and all staff were very friendly. This time next year, we will probably be returning to North Cyprus and will certainly considering staying here again!
